How to approve a Commercialization Change Order (CCO) Approval status type programmatically

We intend to build a Structure integration between PDH and an ERP, we intend to fire the integration based on an Interim Approval status type approval of a CCO, in parallel the CCO's workflow'll move automatically to the Approval status type, depending on success or failure of the data transfer, the integration should be able to approve or reject the CCO without an user action.

Is there some way to resolve this puzzle? So far we couldn't recognize any action on the SOAP or REST API.
