Summary

Need understanding on future road-map for ODI Cloud services in terms of re-platforming to OCI & autonomous services

Content

Our current client has Universal Credits for Oracle PaaS subscriptions. They're current using ODI on-premise to integrate data between their legacy Oracle Fusion on-premise with other custom applications. They're moving on to Oracle ERP Cloud platform and would thus want to use the ODI Cloud services which is apt for their future roadmap.

Now, we understand that Oracle has plans about re-platforming the current incarnation of ODI Cloud  services into OCI and Oracle managed autonomous services.

We also believe based on the available documentation that the current release of ODI Cloud service is hosted on the JCS server (ODI Studio hosted on JCS host, J2EE agent deployed on Weblogic server associated with JCS, and repository hosted on DBCS). Moreover, the ODI studio is accessed through remote desktop application VNCviewer through SSH tunneling.

Howdy, Stranger!
