Business Case

Line of business (LOB) users need to view purchase order details without having to be set up as procurement agents.

Solution

From Update 19D onwards, line of business users can drill down from an OTBI analysis to view purchase order details using deep links embedded on the report. Following are the steps for an administrator to enable this access:

  1. Assign the Purchase Analysis role and a Self-Service Procurement role (e.g., Procurement Requester) to the LOB user. The former grants access to the Purchase Orders Real Time Subject Area, while the latter is necessary for the user to be able to open the View Purchase Order page in the Self-Service Procurement work area.
