Change Role Auto Provisioning

Hello All,

We are trying to determine the best approach to remove a custom role and add a new role to all employees.

I have:

a) end dated the current auto provisioning rule

b) created a new auto provision rule with the new role

c) ran the auto provisioning process

The process seems to have worked as employees no longer have the original custom role and all have the new role. 

we want to ensure this is the best process, or if we should have just updated the existing auto provisioning role (i.e. change out the role that was assigned with the existing rule).
