Summary

Fringe allocations for foreign entities with penny out of balance on journal

Content

We process fringe allocations for our foreign entities, the allocation journal has columns for Accounted Debit/Accounted Credit and then Entered Debit/Entered Credit. When you click in the cells for the Entered columns the amounts go beyond two decimal amounts. The amounts in the Accounted columns only go out two decimal places.  The accounted debits and credits are off by a penny. So the allocation entry will not post and we have to manually go into each journal and adjust it.

The allocation rule has the option selected that if there is a rounding issue to select the higher amount, but we believe it is only putting the higher amount in one of the columns (either the credit column receives the penny or the debit column receives the penny. It doesn’t add the penny to both columns.).

Howdy, Stranger!
