Calculate inflation (merit like rate) for new hiring requisitions in Wfp

Hi All,

As you already know, currently workforce planning is calculating the merit only on the "Existing employees" as per the member formula defined in OWP_Merit and it is not currently supported for "New Requisitions". However my client wants to calculate a merit like rate (inflation) on top of the new hire requisitions which will be eventually an addition to the total compensation of those new requisition. I need to know what is the recommended way to achieve this? should i modify the OWP_Merit formula in a way that merit would be calculated for the new employees or should  i introduce another account something like "inflation" and apply the
