Will replenishment Planning explode the BOM of a Kit (Assembly) Item and suggest planned orders for its components?

There is a scenario:

We have Finished Items that is manufactured by using different components. How will Replenishment Planning will explode BOM of Finished Items and create demand of Components using rules defined in replenishment planning.

If it will not then please confirm if we need any other Planning Module like demand management to cater this requirement?

In the demo instance, I am unable to find any scenario like this which can confirm the case.
