Syncing of bargaining units when a worker is transfered from one position to another

Hi All,

We transferred a worker from a Position with a Bargaining Unit to a position that has no (blank) bargaining unit. However, the position did not sync the null value for bargaining unit when we expected that it would since we have configured the Bargaining Unit to sync to assignment from position (from Manage HCM Enterprise Information task). 

Anyone has faced this? Kindly provide some insight.
