OTBI Catalog and Data Model Management Best Practice

Trying to find Best Practice on storing Data Models within Custom Folder

Content

Hello,

New to the forum and I have a question regarding Management of Data Models and reports, we are changing our security roles and are looking to possibly redo our catalog.  We currently have all of our Data Models stored in a single custom Folder: /Shared Folders/Custom/Data_Models and all of our reports located in different folders in another location /Shared folders/Custom/HR/...

Currently we have over 100 Data Models stored in this one directory, The Question is, is this a good practice to have a central location for all Data Models or should they be stored in the same folder as their corresponding report.  We have different roles/security that will access these Reports/DataModels and security wise the worry is that we may be hampered by this current setup.

Howdy, Stranger!
