Generate Revenue for Expenditure Items with a Future Dated Expenditure Item Date

Hi,

If we have a Project that has an Expenditure Item with an Expenditure Item Date of e.g. 22nd September 2022, and we run the Generate Revenue job with today (11th June 2020) as the "To Date", then the Revenue Status of the EI is "Unrecognized".

If we run the Generate Revenue job with the "To Date" set to 22nd September 2022, then the Revenue Status changes to "Fully Recognized".

That makes sense, but I wondered what impact this will have on the accounting on the system - does recognising revenue linked to future dated EIs mean that, for example, the accounting on the system will become "skewed" due to these revenues being recognised in advance of the Expenditure Item Dates on the EIs?
