Academic period in Core

Hi all,

I have a strange question

I'm implementing Core HR for a University that has been working for many years with EBS.

They use in many places (assignments and reports and workflows) academic period.

For example – a professor might have an assignment that is only relevant for a specific academic period and they just maintains it using the academic period and not by entering a start and end date.

I realize that in EBS a lot was possible but it is possible to use the academic period in the Core?

Has anyone had such a scenario before?
