How can I split 1 item into multiple components based on item structure?

Summary

The requirement is to receive by PO one item, then disassmble into components according to item structure

Using Fusion SCM 20B or later in Discrete Manufacturing, the request is to receive by Purchase Order an item from a vendor, then bring this to an assembly line to disassemble into components. At the end, there will be 0 left on hand of the original item. The proportion of components should be well known but consider the possibility for variances such as scrap, but generally it will follow the item structure.

The problem with a Rework, Tranform, or Orderless mfg is that the lots of the components do not exist in advance. That is, a rework can take an item previously consumed, and revert it to being on hand as a component. But these components are new and will have a new lot number which does not exist. During the transaction process, a lot number will be generated or manually assigned (either option is acceptable) and expiration date manually assigned. Rework and Transform order and Orderless Returns do not allow you to enter a lot number, you must select from LOV

Howdy, Stranger!
