How to send withdrawn notification to the Time Card Approver after escalation

Hello Experts,

Below is our escalation requirement.

If the Time Card Approver does not approver the Time Card in 4 days then escalate to the Approver's manager.

We did the setup and the approval notification is sent to the Time Card Approver's manager, our issue is that the Time Card Approver is not receiving a withdrawn notification or that the notification that the Approval has been escalated.

When the approver goes to approver the time card after it has been escalated is just throws an error.

Is there anyway that time card approver can get a withdrawn/escalated notification

Thanks
