Position Management - Funded from Existing Positions

Hi, 

When creating a new position - I can select "Funded from Existing Positions"  and a "Funding Positions" appears that allows me to add rows of positions.   Only a handful positions appear when I do a search here - does anyone understand this capability and what should be showing when I add rows ?
