GA ANNOUNCEMENT - ADB Supports Connecting to non-Oracle Databases

Content

Autonomous Database now supports using connections that are enabled via Oracle Database Gateway. Gateways are designed for accessing a specific non-Oracle Database such as DB2, Teradata, SQL Server etc.

Oracle Database Gateway provide queries and applications with access to data anywhere in a distributed database system without knowing either the location of the data or how it is stored. This removes the need to customize applications to access data from non-Oracle systems.
