Questions on approach for PER to ORA security

Content

Hi,

As per my understanding, Oracle initially provided PER related securities. Later, it starts providing enhanced securities that is ORA. Currently, Oracle maintaining both ORA as well as PER since many customers created custom roles on PER roles.

My questions,

1.From which release Oracle started providing ORA roles?

2.Based on my analysis on PER delivered roles, All PER delivered securities are inheriting ORA securities completely. Is that correct? If so, can we use it interchangeably? For example, We are using data role created on the delivered PER job role. In this case, Can I simply create another data role on the delivered ORA PER job role and use this new data role going forward?
