Difference between role PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT & ORA_PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT

Seeking your guidance to understand the difference between these 2 roles.

PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT ORA_PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT

For all of our employees, by default role is assigned 'PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT'. 

Is role ORA_PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT for different purpose?

Actually we have recently moved to 20b version upgrade and I have enabled responsive page but some of tabs are missing in the personal details.  is ORA_PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT role mandatory for using responsive page? If yes, how can I assign this role for all employees by default as per same privileges defined in PER_EMPLOYEE_ABSTRACT
