Cannot reset variables for Buttonset fields

Hi,

We have a requirement to have create and edit contact record in a popup. For this we have created a single popup which is mapped to the same CreateContact variable. When we create a new contact then we want to reset the create contact variable so that it does not contain the selected row's data.

To do this we have tried various option like resetting the variable using reset variable on OPen dialog event of create contact popup or reset the variable using an empty variable or reset by passing all the fields values as null or "" but in all situation we are getting below error.
