Issues with new Responsive UI - search positions

Hi -
Is there anyway that the advanced search in the positions field is activated? or more results show up in the LOV when searching for a position?
We are having issues due to the limitation of only having 25 matches show up. Users are not able to select the accurate position due to the limited search capabilities.
Example:
Trying to select the position Engineer
We have multiple positions that have a job of Engineer and using either a starts with or contains always checks the job first. It shows up in alphabetical order and since the search results are limited we cannot select engineer as a value (either using Y or N in
