Issue with Employees Starting The shift at 12AM and Logging in 10-15 mins before the shift starts
Summary
Employees Starting The shift at 12AM and Logging in 10-15 mins before the shift startsContent
Hi,
we have 6 shifts and below are the details
A. (Shifts to be used by Security Guards)
1. 6AM to 2 PM
2. 2PM to 10 PM
3. 10PM to 6 AM
B. (Shifts to be used by Call Center)
4. 8AM to 4 PM
5. 4PM to 12 AM
6. 12 AM to 8 AM
So if you look at shift#6 it starts from 12AM. Suppose I use Oracle webclock and logs in at 11:55 PM (I mean it is quite natural people can log in 10-15 mins before their shift start). Lets say I clock in at 11:55 PM on Sunday for my Monday 12AM to 8AM shift, in this case time entries are created for Sunday instead of Monday. I can think of using Work Day definition with a rule the day having maximum hours but if I use workday definition of this rule then my shift#3 (10PM to 6AM) will create entries
