Cannot send emails via internal LearnCenter email

When using Classic messages or opening the LearnCenter Communication Center users cannot send a message.  The system is working fine up until the point you hit send and then an error message displays.  Is anyone else seeing this.  I opened a ticket with Oracle but I am afraid this may be a result of the upgrade or the fact that we moved to the new editor.  If someone could check I would appreciate it.
