Can this report be date driven

Hi I have created a report which shows the hierachy but what the team really needs is for it to be date driven so we can see the reporting lines for example a couple of months ago before a restructure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I understand you can put something in the prefix but I haven`t been able to get this to work. Its just errors. Kind reagrds
