What is the purpose of the field "Indirect Funding Amount" in the award funding screen. It seems to have no impact per se other than increasing the total funding for the Award. 

Is this just a split for reporting to show what part of the funds are meant for indirect costs or does it have a different meaning in the federal grant terminology?
