Need the procedure for deactivating an Inventory item code if it needs to be inactivated due to various reason like obsolence etc...

Need the procedure for deactivating an Inventory item code if it needs to be inactivated due to various reason like obsolence etc...
As per oracle SR 3-24088091131  they have asked to open and IDEA  as Unfortunately, there is no functionality available in the application to disable an Item.
