Member Prompt in Smart View

I’m having issues opening a MR report in Smart View that has a member prompt.  The report prompts for scenario, the list is limited to forecast members.  The member names are in the format “FCST5+7”, “FCST6+6”, and so on to represent number of actual and forecast months.  The report opens in web without issue, but in Smart View we get an error (image below).

My guess is that Smart View does not like the “+” character.  Have others seen this or similar issues?  Other than renaming the forecast members, is there a workaround?  Also, the report does not have any issue if the scenario is hard coded in the report, it only has issues when prompted for the member.
