Financials - Trend based planning

On trend based planning in FInancials do we need to have actuals in the appropriate version for it to work.

We load actuals to Actuals scenario -> Final Version

If we select a trend on a revenue or expense sheet, on Plan scenario for working version it does not work. The calculation works for Plan->Final though

Does it mean that we need to have actuals loaded to each version we create for the trend calculations to work??
