Dashboard Prompt values in format YYYY-MM using TO_DATETIME

Looking for some suggestion on date format conversions in dashboard prompt, here is my scenario:
One of my dasboard has a month prompt (in the format of YYYY / MM (like 2020 / 09) and is coming from a SA's time dimension. I would like to use the same month prompt in a report which is based on another SA without a Time dimension but it has a regular date column something like 'Offering Start Date'. I have assigned the dashboard prompt value to a pv called 'pMonth'.
And I am using the below filter to pass a value thru pv 'pMonth' to the report:
