Worker Age in Workforce Trends

What to use to calculate age in Workforce Trends

Content

Hello!

I've been calculating the Age Bands by using a formula to gather the difference between the date of birth and a specific date for reporting. I end up using a different date depending on the context.

  • For Workforce Overview - Assignment Real Time: We're using the current_Date because it's reporting on current assignment information
  • For Workforce Overview - Assignment Event Real Time: We're using the Date from the Time Dimension because the relevant age for analysis is what age the worker was when the event happened

When I tried to use "Time"."Date" in Workforce Overview - Workforce Trend Real Time it doesn't come back with any results. I suspect this is caused by the report aggregate function grouping on the other attributes of the time dimension. (Year, Quarter, Month)

Howdy, Stranger!
