Migration from Standard to Hybrid FCCS application

Dear All, does anyone have migration experience to hybrid FCCS? I read the documentation in Administering Financial Consolidation and Close, and I would like to know if it mandatory to create the two additional custom dimensions.

What kind of benefits do I have with the hybrid FCCS?
