Currency of the Cost Rate Schedule on the Organization Costing Rules

Can we use a cost rate schedule (by job) that is created with a different currency than the ledger currency in Orgnanization Costing rules

Hi

We have a requirement where we have two business units that share the same cost rate schedule. Both the business units are of different ledger currencies. However, the cost rate schedule (job schedule) is created in one currency EUR. 

Please let us know if there is a hard and fast rule that the currency of the rate schedule should match the ledger currency ?
