Balance As-Of Date Default Value

Can drop down menu default be changed to Last Calculation Date?

On the Absence Balance screen the default value in the Balance As-Of Date is defaulted to Current Date.  Is it possible to change that to default to Last Calculation Date?  I was able to change the display order via Setup and Maintenance>Manage Common Lookups>ORA_ANC_BALANCE_CALC_DATE but did not see any way to set a default value.  I have also looked in Page Composer with no luck.  We pull absences in from an external system twice per month so the Current Date option is not relevant or accurate for us.  Ideally I would like to hide the drop down but need the
