smart list id not generated

Hi 

I have created a period smart lists by selecting the option  "create from members" and "automatically generated id" as well.

 But no smart list id is generated. 

Now i need to link the smart list value in the rule, for a formula. 

How to provide the id in such situations, when we select "create from members"...can we use the name? i tried but did not work.
