The Recruiting Center uses standard fields supplied by the system and which provide standardized information on candidates, requisitions, offers. User-defined fields (UDFs) can also be created to capture any additional information required by your organization.

On a candidate profile you can use categories depending on the type of information you want to store.

For talent pools you can start to leverage the “personal & work experience” information on the candidate. In both cases I recommend to have the administrator create a dropdown to group certain candidates. This makes searching and managing your talent pools easier and more consistent throughout you company. Based on the skillset that your company needs, can create corresponding drop-down list. For example based on the job function and or years of experience. Most companies have different definitions on when a candidate can be considered Senior.
