Issue:

Customer navigates to a supplier punchout site. Customer purchases an item and on return a requisition is not created and instead an error is thrown: String out of Range -1512.

Development Triage and Resolution:

The issue was found to be that the the item description contain special characters (and in this case that was an apostrophe " ' ". Question arose: Is this a limitation that we fail such special characters.

Development responded thusly:

We do accept text with special characters, as long as the text is correctly encoded (XML/URL encoding), this problem probably means that there's something wrong with the encoding of the values of the shopping cart from supplier.
