Ending a Work Relationship without a future-dated Termination

Hello,

We're currently exploring any available options around how to set up a safeguard for an employee population who will be placed in a long-term inactive status in order to stay payroll eligible with a termination coming at the end of their agreement in up to 48 months. Our concern is, given the length of the inactive period, that turnover within the HR organization could lead to these employees being missed and payment continuing past their agreement end date. We do not feel that entering a future-dated termination is a viable solution due to issues that have occurred in the past,
