How to identify Depreciation Amount !=0 in Assets SLA

I'm trying to derive Sub-Account based on whether the Asset has a balance in Depreciation Reserve or not.  I tried using Depreciation_Reserve_Entered_Amount, but it is always giving me a zero irrespective of the fact that there is a value for Depreciation Reserve in the Asset book for the Asset.  Can anyone suggest an appropriate value for this.
