FCCS Data management Replace mode creates opening balance offset

We use data management to load data in FCC. We load Life to date Balances. We use YTD input, Closing Balance input for ( B/S accounts) and Mvmts Net income for P/L account.  We use replace mode for loading. We are seeing a weird thing, whenever we load in Replace mode FCC posts an offset of prior months YTD opening balance to the periodic opening balance adjustment of the month being loaded. This issue does not happen in merge mode, but only happens in Replace.

We have tried to raise SR with Oracle ,they keep saying this is an expected behaviour. I have read the documentation. It says below
