OCI Load Balancer Bandwidth Pricing

Summary

How much do Load Balancers actually cost?

Content

I've been trying to work out what a Load Balancer will cost me. I obviously found the online prices: https://www.oracle.com/uk/cloud/networking/load-balancing-pricing.html

The prices look pretty low, but I'm trying to work out what the bandwidth will cost me. For the sake of argument, let's say that I create a load balancer and send 1Gbps (ie. 1000 Mbps) of traffic to it for 30 minutes, but then leave it idle - what will the bandwidth charge be? Will it be...

1) 1000Mbps x $0.0001 = $0.10

2) 1000Mbps / 2 * 0.0001 = $0.05

3) Something else?

Also, are the "hours" based on when I use it, or wall-clock time? That is, if I perform my above test at 9.45, will I get charged partly for the 09-10 hour and partly for the 10-11 hour? Lastly, is "bandwidth" calculated as ingress and egress, or just one direction?

Howdy, Stranger!
