Employee sickness during maternity pay period

In the scenario where an employee has returned from Mat leave early (i.e. before period of OMP ends) and subsequently goes off sick, as they are not eligible for SSP, we pay SMP instead. We have created a dedicated absence type for this: 'sickness during maternity pay period'. However, if the employee remains off work beyond the end of their maternity pay period, we believe this absence should be ended and a normal sick absence (paying SSP) opened. My question is, in Fusion is there a clever solution for how we identify an employee on 'sickness during maternity pay period'

Howdy, Stranger!
