Is it possible to assign ERP cloud users as approvers for a process in Process Cloud Service

We have a requirement to develop a custom workflow for credit memo approvals (since this is not available out of the box in Oracle). We are planning to have a custom UI in VBCS to enter the basic credit memo fields. The credit memo would then be routed through a custom approval process, post which the credit memo will be created in ERP cloud using OIC integration. 

As part of this solution, we wanted to understand if there is any way to assign ERP cloud users as approvers in the PCS process. If yes, how/where will they get to see the action
