Inform registered Learners about new Offerings

Hello all,

 

we have the following requirement:

Learners, who are registered for a course, should be informed, when a new offering is created for this course.

Is there a custom Alert for this case, which can be activated?

Or do we have to create a new Alert to achieve it?

Or is there any other way
