Scheduled Process for Position Hierarchy

Does anyone know of a process that can be run in order to match the Position Hierarchy to the Assignment Hierarchy? For example, our Position Hierarchy says that Person A should be the manager of Person B but the manager hierarchy in their assignments say that Person A is the manager of Person C. Is there a scheduled process that can keep these hierarchies in sync?
