Creating a receipt with the Transaction date in a future open period

I am currently testing in a DEV creating a receipt in My Receipts>Receive Items changing the Transaction date from 18/03/21 (current date)  to 01/04/21 (future date) as I want to test the accounting transactions.  The system is throwing error 'The transaction date must be earlier than or equal to 18/03/2021 15.31 (RCV-2445135)'  

GL & AP Periods are open for March & April 21

System is set to 'Accrue at Period End' 

Why does the system not allow me to enter future dated receipts?
