Remove Inactive Departments from Department Tree

Hi All,

I have requirement to remove all inactive departments from department tree. I want your opinion on followings -
1) Is it right approach to remove Inactive Departments from Active Department Tree?
2) Will this impact any Reports i.e. Termination?
3) Will this impact any other HR functionality where the Department hierarchy is used?
