Project capitalization against existing asset

Hi Experts,

I have a requirement that the client wants to track the spend for renovation and upgrade of their assets via the projects module. The costs associated with the project need to be capitalized against the existing asset and possibly tracked as improvements rather than as CIP Asset 1.

Is there any way to link the project capitalization to existing assets?
