Best Practice approach for recording Paid / Unpaid absences

At DHL we do not run Oracle payroll, but have an interface to a third party pay provider.  We are in the process of implementing absences and need to inform our pay provider, particularly around unpaid absences.

We have a number of absence types that can be paid or unpaid at the manager’s discretion eg  Compassionate Leave, Bereavement Leave, Study Leave, Exam Leave etc.  We want our employees to be able to enter their absence and then for the line manager to confirm if it should be categorised or Paid or Unpaid before it is save/submitted and sent to payroll.

Howdy, Stranger!
