Will a change to a supplier's transit time in Supply Planning retroactively update the firm date on

If we change the transit time for a shipping method in the supply plan from 40 to 60 days for a supplier, will the plan calculate new firm dates for any open (not already in transit) purchase orders for that supplier and shipping method combination? or will the new transit time only be considered for orders created after the change was made?
