Assignment Status country restriction

Hi everyone.
Could anyone tell me what they do if they have many countries active in HCM and have different assignment statuses per country and some are similar. Does anyone have any suggestion on how the list can be restricted so that the system updater picks up the correct assignment status for the country, as Oracle allows country to be chosen at the assignment status creation, but it does nothing to restrict or filter on the assignment screen.
