Adaptive Search for Custom Objects

We need to be able to use the standard record set for Custom Objects in Workspace

Currently we have a custom object - CEDs we use to track competitive assets with our customers.

The object itself has an owner, the creator, but that is not often the same user who is now assigned to the account.  This makes it impossible for the current user to search for the information that is relative to their territory.  The CED is in a relationship with the Account and we would like to use an Account type record set for the Custom Object.  For example, CEDs where I am on the territory or team.  Currently this is not possible.
