Smart View Native to Standard Conversion

I'm trying to get ahead of the recent announcement that Oracle will be getting rid of the Native ad hoc Smart View connection in PBCS and only offer the Standard ad hoc connection, "sometime soon".  The FP&A team here uses Smart View to create a retrieval grid on one side of a worksheet and then off to the right on the worksheet they have formatted schedules that reference the retrieval grid.  In my test environment I have changed my Smart View ad hoc Behavior from Native to Standard.  When I attempt to refresh a worksheet set up like this I get the following
